Scouts First Class and Above can sign up as Staff position for Twin Valley's first "Trail to Troop" event on October 2-4th, at Rancho Los Machos.. This event is for AOL Level Cubs and their parent(s).  If interested, please contact Mrs Erin Storm at tvggactrail2troop@gmail.com for details and application.  THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY.  Great opportunity to share your leadership skills.  Hours are not considered Service Hours.

Though not mandated via the national organization, Troop 216 will be implementing a new policy for the upcoming academic year where all registered scouts will require at least one adult registration (guardian, parent, caretaker) per family. There will be no exceptions. If a family has multiple registered scouts within the troop, at least one adult application is needed.

This policy will help ensure a smooth process for spurious participation in any scout-facing activity that includes outings, service projects, overnight camps, etc. Furthermore, this will enable the troop to more quickly engage adult volunteers as needed.

Adult applications/registrations take place via the same portal where youth scout registrations take place on my.scouting.org. Please designate Troop 216 as your unit (if you have children in Cub Packs please submit Troop 216 as "multiple units" designation). Adult applications by default will require Safety for Youth Training (SYT) along with background checks, all handled online via the same my.scouting.org website.

Troop 216 Budget was approved during the last Committee Meeting.  Troop Dues for August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027 is $160 per scout.  Eagle Scouts do not pay troop dues.  All Scouts must be registered with Troop 216, and at least One Adult per family must have a current Scouting America registration.  Please make payment via Zelle or check to Troop 216 by September 15th.  Please make note “Scout Name, Troop Dues".  Questions?  Please contact Treasurer Marina Markovsky.

Troop 216 relies on their trained adults for all of the outings offered to the scouts.  Please check out the upcoming training sessions, and become a Trained Adult!  New adults should take Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills Training Part #1 and #2.  Adults leading Summer High Adventures should take Wilderness First Aid and specific trainings for that high adventure (listed on their website).

SCOUTS that want to work on Community or Conservation Service projects that are NOT TROOP ORGANIZED. Please READ, fill out and get signatures on these Individual Service Project Forms, BEFORE you complete the project.
