Welcome to Troop 216!

Troop 216 Troop 216 has been serving the Alamo, Danville and Walnut Creek communities for 65 years. We are proud to be the oldest chartered troop in the Meridian District. The troop has consistently earned the Quality Unit Award – Gold Level, each year for leadership, outdoor programs and scout accomplishments.

Welcome New Scouts to Troop 216

We are excited to announce that 12 new scouts from Packs 302 and 53 have joined Troop 216 at Bridging Ceremonies this past week.  They will join the Newman Patrol led by Ben W.  Please join the troop in welcoming, Ian B., Carson C., Gabriel D., Parker G.,  Ian H.,  Nico H., Luis I., Justin K., Hayden L., Henry T., Alex W. and Lance Z. Please remind your scouts to introduce themselves and help the new scouts transition into our troop. 

Spring Break MB Camp with the SF Council

Exploration Camp is a fun and exciting daily program that provides the opportunity for boys and girls ages 11-18 to explore hobbies, educational interests and useful social and personal skills during the Spring Break weeks. 

Youth will register for full-day subject sessions, and may also sign-up for an extended afternoon program to facilitate family scheduling needs.

Trained and qualified adult supervision is provided during all program hours at the local Youth Leadership Training Center in San Leandro, a safe learning environment for all ages.

Daily Schedule: 9:00 – 4:00 (check-in @ 8:45-9:00 am)

Registration Fees: $65 per full day session

Registration is by day and class! NOT by week! Youth should pick one class in the day when signing up.

Lunch and a water bottle will be provided for each participant.

Please indicate any special dietary restrictions or allergies in your online registration.

***The program utilizes the various Boy Scout Merit Badge topics as its "curriculum" for program activities. Merit Badge requirements can be technical and challenging, so we do not necessarily expect a day-long program to be able to complete a full merit badge.

Medical Form C Due June 1st for All Scouts and Parents Attending Camp

Now is the time to schedule an appointment  with your doctor to complete you annual physical and get your medical form C signed by your physician.  A copy of the medical forms is attached.  Forms can be turned in at troop meetings into the troop box in the folder labeled - MEDICAL FORMS.  We already have Forms A and B.


CALLING ALL SCOUTS! Do a Good Turn Daily, Demonstrate Scout Spirit, Earn Service Hours

There are several Troop Service Projects on the Calendar!  If you need to complete a rank requirement or Merit Badge requirement or earn your Troop Service Patch or just add service hours to your Scout record, sign up for one or more of these Troop Service Projects.  Details and sign up are on the Troop website.

Food Bank Service Project - April 22nd -April 22nd from 2-4PM at the Contra Costa Food Bank in Concord.  As part of Earth Day, the CCC Food Bank will have a Scout Day for all Scouts to volunteer in one of their facilities.  Scouts and Adults will assist the Contra Costa Food Bank Distribution Center in Concord by sorting canned goods and Fruit/Vegetables.  All depends upon what they receive as donations.  A great way to give back to your community!

Alamo Rotary Easter Egg Hunt - April 15th - Troop scouts are needed to assist with this local holiday tradition by hiding eggs, helping with games and assisting participants. The event will be held at Livorna Park and scouts will earn community service hours. Sign ups are open on the troop website. Please contact Susan Rock, the adult lead for more information.
