Scout leaders have planned a great way to learn the eight different carries for the emergency prep merit badge. After practicing, scouts will be divided into teams and have a relay race demonstrating each one of these carries. Winner for the best performance gets the prize!  Don't miss this opportunity to complete parts of your Emergency Prep merit badge and or have a fun competition with fellow scouts.

DO NOT LET your SCOUT's MEMBERSHIP EXPIRE.  Their Scout Records will be dropped from Scoutbook, and the troop cannot do anything about any lapse in Scouting America membership.  Membership Renewal is an annual process for youth and adult members to renew their membership. SCOUTS, Now is the time to check your records in Scoutbook  If you don’t have access to Scoutbook, please ask your parents to grant you access.  You can see your BSA ID #, rank, completed merit badges, leadership position, patrol, contact information (parents, address, phone number), to name a few details in your record.  It is good to check this information during your scout journey so that you are familiar with these records (and the records are correct) when you start work towards Eagle.  Questions?  Please reach out to the Advancement Chair.

Troop 216 relies on their trained adults for all of the outings offered to the scouts.  Please check out the upcoming training sessions, and become a Trained Adult!  New adults should take Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills Training Part #1 and #2.  Adults leading Summer High Adventures should take Wilderness First Aid and specific trainings for that high adventure (listed on their website).
