Welcome to Troop 216!

Troop 216 Troop 216 has been serving the Alamo, Danville and Walnut Creek communities for 67 years. We are proud to be the oldest chartered troop in the Meridian District. The troop has consistently earned the Quality Unit Award – Gold Level, each year for leadership, outdoor programs and scout accomplishments.

Limited Quantities of Class B Adult Leader Grey Sport Polos Available

A limited number of Class B Grey sports tech polos with our beautiful Troop 216 patch on them are available for purchase.  They would be nice to have if you are attending camps or outings.  A limited amount of only Large and XL are  left. The cost is 25 dollars.

BSA Medical Form C - Are Late - Please Turn in ASAP

All scouts and parents attending summer and high adventure camps in 2018 are required to submit a completed Medical Form C, signed by their physician by May 15th.  Now is the time to make an appointment with your doctor or make arrangements to have the form completed and signed.  Please do not wait until the last minute.  The BSA and our troop will not allow scouts or parents to attend summer camp without signed Form C’s. The forms should be turned in to our Membership Chairs - Alan Zneimer and Charles Tai.  There is also a file in the troop box marked “Membership”.  Please place all completed forms there at a troop meeting. FAMILY EVENT! A's vs Giants - Battle of the Bay on Friday, July 20th

Join the troop for an evening of baseball and fireworks!  The troop has 15 tickets to the A's Battle of the Bay game on Friday, July 20th, game time 6:35PM.  Tickets are $47 per person.  Seats are located in Section 207, Row 6 (7 seats) and Row 7 (8 seats).  To reserve your tickets, please sign up on the troop website - click on the event on the right column.  Under your Scout's name ("Notes"), please put number of tickets. Due to the limited number of tickets, troop sign ups will reserve your tickets.  Payment must be made to confirm your ticket purchase.  Once payment is received, your seat(s) assignment will be sent to you.  Event sign ups will close on May 30th.   Questions?  Please contact Cynthia at cynsmn@yahoo.com

Friends of Scouting - FOS

 Our troop will have our annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) drive at our February 27th CoH.  FOS is the financial campaign for the Mount Diablo Silverado Council (MDSC) and Meridian District.  Both Council and District do so much to assist our troop - Troop Recharter, Eagle Scout advancement assistance, BSA member registration, Unit Liability Insurance, local camps for troop use and adult trainings. Troop dues do not cover these services.

Community Emergency Response Team for Earthquakes - June 9th

Role players should dress appropriately for weather and wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty or torn or stained from simulated injuries.  Snacks will be served.  Scounts and adults are welcome to volunteer.  You can request not to have moulage if you don’t want the stage make-up.

Deadline to sign-up is the end of April 30th.

This will be an individual service project and will count towards service hours. To receive credit, Scout needs to get an activity form signed by someone at event (not their parent but someone leading the event).
